Notice of Race

1.0 Rules

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the "Rules" as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2001 - 2005,

1.2 The YNZ Safety Regulations Part 1 shall apply.

4.0 Eligibility and Entry

4.1 To be eligible to compete each entrant and crew member shall be a financial member of a member club of YNZ.

4.2

4.3 The regatta is open to all Centreboard class boats and including Hobie 16, Tornado, Paper Tiger and A Class Catamarans, complying with class rules.

4.4 Advance entries will be accepted until the normal closing date of 9th March 2001, by completing the attached entry form accompanied by a fee of $30.00 and mailing it to the Lake Taupo Yacht Club at the address above.

4.5 Late entries, may be accepted at the Race Committee’s discretion until 0930 on 9 March 2002

5.4 Racing Schedule:

The scheduled time of the warning signal for the First Race is 1125 hours on 9 March 2002

6.0 Sailing Instructions

The Sailing Instructions will be available 9 March at Registration.

 

7.0 Racing Area

The races will be held on Tapuaeharuru Bay at the Northern end of Lake Taupo.

 

8.0 Courses to be Sailed

The course(s) will be a combination of Windward/Leeward and Triangle Windward/Leeward.

 

9.0 Scoring

9.1 The Low-Points Scoring System, Appendix A will apply.

    1. 4 races shall be completed to constitute a series.

 

10.0 Alternative Penalties

10.1

10.2 There may be on the water judging and on the water penalties for infringements of rule 44.2.

 

11.0 Decisions of the Jury

 

 

13.0 Team Support Boats

Will not be allowed within the course area.
