OK & Finn 2004 Nationals
9/2/2004: Waitangi weekend threw up
a variety of weather for the regatta with the 2 races scheduled
for Saturday afternoon being cancelled due to the conditions. An
additional race on Sunday meant that only one race was lost from
the 10 race series.
In the OK fleet of 28
boats, Worser Bay sailors were to the fore with Joe Porebski
finishing 2nd (1st veteran), Paul Rhodes 5th, Steve
McDowell 6th, Greg Wilcox 8th, Matt Stechmann
9th, Karl Purdie 10th, Owen Anderson 11th,
Matt McDowell 16th, Hayden Swanson 19th, Robbie
Greer 24th and Mark Berry (from the 6 races he
completed) 25th.
Thanks to Mike Boswell who did a great job
as Principal Race Officer.
