A "Swell" Weekend!
"Bubble" is NI Champion
Well it was a swell weekend quite literally. Big on fun and wave size!

The usual good number of Worser Bayites headed up to New Plymouth for the North Island Champs on the 24th of Jan to test out rougher seas and came home with some excellent results. Worser Bay can now proudly claim the winning crew: "Bubble" - Greg Wright and Penny Kerr and Brett Linton and Adam Emirali were second. The winning club for 2003 was Worser Bay. As well as these excellent results, Worser Bay crews won the Father and Son (Dean Stanley and Josh), Married Couple (Pip and Peter Hans), Female (Deb Boswell and Heleen Visser), over 40 Skipper (Nigel Lloyd and Mandy Sturge) and over 50 Skipper (Rob Bryant and Ben Hans) awards. Although there were a few casualties to the 3-4 metre swell that caused nauseous early race retirements, most crews managed to master the waves as the weekend progressed. It was a great weekend away with lots of hours of sailing and swell mastering had by all.
