CREWS
 | There are always Sunburst skippers looking for crews. |
 | There are always crews looking for a berth. |
 | Do not be shy. Come down to the club at about 11:30
Saturdays. Ask around on the rigging area or at the start box. Ring a committee member.
Look at our Officers page. |
 | We especially invite graduates of the learn to sail program to join
experienced skippers for more experience. |
 | Have you checked the Watersports-Evans
Bay Message Board ?. |
 | If you want to place an advertisement, send the Webmaster
an email with your details and he will post your ad. |
 | The target combined weight of skipper and crew of recent
Sunburst National Champions was about 115 kg. A recent (Aug 2002)
Teams Racing event in Sunbursts required that the combined weight of crew
and skipper be AT LEAST 125kg to make the racing more even. A
70-80 kg Skipper and a 45-55 kg
Crew should be competitive. |
 | Sailing at Worser Bay's often testing weather
conditions means heavier combinations are often winners too! Just do
it! |
Crews wanted by:
| Andrew Paterson 04 970 8454 (Sunburst)
Chinook 939 |
Crew available: as at 16 Jan
2003.

Hi there,
I was a member of WBBC back in 1989 - 1995 (approx) when I sailed a
P-Class then a Starling. I often crewed on Sunbursts too. Many happy
memories. I was Rebecca Evison then! I have
recently returned to NZ after 5 years in the USA and I'm keen to start
crewing.
In the USA I sailed a fair bit on a 29er - an awesome class that I
understand is not common in NZ. I'm now very keen to crew on an
R-Class since I love being on the trapeze. I'm about 75kg so I'm
best in strong winds. I love it being wet and windy!
I'm available weekends and weekdays occasionally, as I work from
home, for myself. I live up in Roseneath so I'm local.
I'd really appreciate you posting mention of my availability to
crew on your website - I have done the same on the Evans Bay site.
Many thanks in advance, ( Posted
